Kauk Cho Lee, who had been diagnosed with a condition called 'liquid on the brain', passed away on November 23, 2021. He is survived by his wife (sister of Father Benedict Htun Maung), a son and two daughters, and a grandson and a granddaughter. Kauk Cho Lee was born on July 21, 1951. From his childhood home in Hlaing Township, he attended Catholic Anglo Chinese School in 1960, left the school temporarily, and then came back to CACS in 1963. In 1967, when he was studying 7th Grade, an anti-Chinese riot broke out, causing him to drop out of school. He became a carpenter and an active member of Yangon's Chinese Catholic community.
