The front cover of William Chou's rare Wan Hua ID card. Under General Ne Win's Socialist economic system, even small children had to show their student ID cards to buy fountain pens, pencils and exercise books from the stores run by the government.
The markings in this Student ID card remind us of the oil card issued to each household by General Ne Win's government.
