MAISIE CHAN'S COLLECTION

Maisie says when she first attended Wan Hua, it was a coed school. Boys and girls attended classes together and the school operated under one name - Catholic Anglo Chinese School. The boys and girls were later separated and as everyone knows, boys went to CACS and girls went to St. Emilie's Convent. Even after separation, girls were sent over to the boys' school to take Chinese-language classes together with the boys. In those days, the Chinese-language classrooms were on the second floor of the main CACS building.
